Malcolm Lewis

Limelight

Limelight features an eclectic mix of nostalgic music. Each show has a theme, and playlists include easy-listening instrumentals, the lighter end of classical music, songs from the Great American Songbook, and songwriting partnerships from the world of musical theatre, such as Rodgers and Hammerstein.

Long-term Cirencester resident Malcolm Lewis presents limelight. During the nearly 50 years he has spent in Cirencester, Brummie-born Malcolm has been an active member of several community groups, including the local Round Table, The Beeches Community Group and, more recently, Probus.

Classics For Pleasure

Classical Music has always been in my blood since I was nine when I went to my first concert at Birmingham Town Hall in 1953. When the opportunity arose on Cirencester Radio, I devised a programme to fit in eight pieces of Music, an Overture-Violin-Dance-Song-Piano-March-Concerto and a Symphony into a one-hour relay, some well-known but many forgotten but very tuneful.
